Authorities in Oklahoma are warning motorists to slow down during inclement weather after two firefighters responding to a crash were struck by an out-of-control trailer.
The firefighters were standing on the side of the road in the pouring rain when an SUV with a trailer attached to the back began to hydroplane and spun out of control. The SUV struck an emergency vehicle parked on the shoulder, causing the trailer to whip around and smash into the two firefighters.
The two men managed to walk away from the heartstopping incident with just a few bruises and are lucky they were not seriously injured.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol shared the dramatic video on Twitter with a reminder to slow down, especially when the roads are wet.
